getting a grip + weekly fitness.

i'm here, i'm here!!

ugh. it's been way too long and i'm super late for my weekly fitness/diet update. sorry! our little family of 3 has gotten quite busy and i'm just getting a hold of the reigns enough to rework my "other stuff" schedule. but i'm working on it and i'll be back on track by the end of the week! the plus side... i have a ton to share since i've been working hard on new stuff!

little miss has gotten so big these past two weeks, so much confidence and so freakin' smart. everyday i watch her set out to tackle a new task, and she has it figured out in no time. we had such an amazing weekend. joe had the whole weekend off after a few weeks of heavy OT. not only did i get so much done, i was able to watch my two besties laugh, play, make music, learn, build, & tumble together for two whole days! we had so much fun... but i digress.

this week was definitely a comeback week for me and i'm happy to say i'm feeling really good now that our *newest* schedule as started to settle in. i for sure am still struggling with my diet. by the middle of last week i was in dire need of a trip to the grocery store but it was so wet & cold that i didn't feel like going without joe. i am finally back into the grove of recording my dailies on loseit! but for most of week 5 i didn't at all. i still kept an eye on everything i ate and feel good about my cal in/cal out ratio.

get fit. get healthy. week 5.
height: 5'6"

weight: 154/153 on my thursday weigh in... 152 when i weighed myself this morning! i am working so hard to get below 150 before heading to my parents on the 18th. i'm REALLY excited about my fitness program while i have access to their treadmill... crazy cadio training week here i come!

your fitness challenge(s) for the week: keep going on the workouts + try to get a full morning and evening session in on tuesday, wednesday, & friday. keep working in crunches + core work.

biggest important challenge this week is SLEEP. i need it. i want it. yet i don't do it. it's not even a matter or losing sleep because of the baby... i just refuse to go to sleep when i really should. it's hard when joe isn't home because a big part of me wants to stay up to have a few moments to talk to him, have an adult conversation, see how he's been and catch up on all things abby. now this is ridiculous on nights that he could potentially be gone until 1am or later, so why stay up from 1030 to 12 when i know i won't see him? so yeah, 8 hours. everyday. it's on.

your food challenge for the week: i'm really doing good on my water intake again, i want to keep it up! did some good cooking/shopping this weekend which has set me up for a great nutrition week. i'm actually going vegetarian a couple days this week... joey cooked black beans ALL weekend and they taste great! (i've NEVER said that about a dish with beans anywhere NEAR it EVER.)

how well did it go:
although i had some diet slip ups this week and wasn't as good about keeping track of my calories exactly i feel like i had a really great week. i'm keeping up with my workouts and have added in several sets of crunches throughout my day (part of getting in core work while i can on a now standing & curious busy baby's daily schedule.) i definitely am excited about working out again, not that it's easier at all. haha. plank switches and push up circuits are KILLING me! but i've started committing to all of my program and adding in the extra burns that i really have fun doing on days that i want to throw the xbox out the window.

failures and slip-ups: chocolate. yeah i'll say it.

coloring has always been my favorite thing... i've had my current set of coloring books for many many years. i can't wait until abby gets interested in crayons (other than for their tastiness!)

hoping to write some more catch up and an abby update tonight when little miss gets to bed.

love.
