an army of duckies.

hello there friends.

i wanted to (finally, i know. more blogging will happen i promise.) share the BIG special order that kept me busy for most of the summer. cute aren't they!

these little guys were a special gift for the ladies of ScrapJammies at their summer reunion crop. i did 22 total! (whew, were my fingers tired!)

this was a great challenge for me and i'm really happy at how they turned out. i learned a lot about my design and construction process and how to maximize my work-time. oh time management, still my biggest challenge... but i'm working on it.

i have another new friend to introduce later today during naptime but for now i thought i'd give you a peek at what's on my hook...

i'm loving him! this is the Choose Your Own Dragon Adventure pattern from FreshStitches. i'm stitching this blue + orange dragon up with Vanna's Choice Baby... and guess what! he's getting a sister too. or should i say he has a big sister who is actually going to be made after he was... oh well. the brother + sister dragon are going to be gifts for my friend's newborn son and toddler daughter. i'm also going to be making some rattles/rings for the newborn. lots of fun.

i can't believe this summer is almost over... but fall is my favorite and it's time to start getting ready for halloween and commit to a handmade holiday list. our family is going to be going through a big change this fall... we aren't sure exactly what it is yet but joey's contract is up in october so at the very least we'll be in a new job if not new apartment, maybe new city by Christmas! (woah)
